Discovery - Step 1 - Set up new device profiles

Log in to the product as admin

Click Resources > Select Discover

In Discovery Portlet > Right-click select New

Set Discovery Profile General Parameters

Enter Name (Required)

Enter Description (Optional)

Set Discovery Profile Options

Discovery Options (Review)

Configure SNMP (Optional) – Attempts to enable SNMP on the device using popular devices under Equipment Type dropdown.

Click Next at the bottom

Select New Discovery Profile > Network Tab

Select Authentication  

Click Create New

Authentication Name: Telnet_Dorado

Select Protocol Type > Telnet Default

Enter: admin; password

Enter: enable: password

Click Apply

Repeated steps above to add SNMP (make sure you know your RW SNMP Communities)

Click Next > Next to the Inspection Tab
