VLAN is >90% Workaround
This seems to be an industry issue. Gathering VLAN data is problematic due to interface configuration and calculation issues.
VLAN X is 100% bandwidth utilization with lots of packets drop in my 6504
My monitoring system is reporting that VLAN 1 is 100% utilization with lots of packets drop in my 6504. That VLAN is used to route multicast traffic between 10 channel-ports each is 2G. It seems that by default the VLAN bandwidth is set to 1G, however, I am passing more traffic than the VLAN default ...
Workaround to omitting VLAN interface monitoring
Go to Settings > Monitor Management > Resource Monitors > edit Default Interface Monitor
Under Monitor Entities > Actions > click on Configure Interface filter Icon
Add filter “Name” does not contain “vlan”
And “Interface Type” is not “L2 VLAN interface” and then Apply and Save
Right Click to refresh the SNMP interface monitor
